It is really true, what`s meant to be will always find a way to come about.
As it turned out later the ones who offered help in Poland couldn’t make it either. This accident on the road happened for a reason, so that I could be in Wien, and find the most magical place ever in Europe. I arrived in Austria very late due to missing connections. Didn’t go skating in the dark, decided to take a train to Bratislava and spend the night there. I did show up at the Hutteldorf park at 6 in Wien, but in the morning. I went back on the following day.
I planned to skate an hour till the sun rose, but enjoyed myself so much just forgot about time, it was 10 when I realized I should really go, if I wanna reach Prague in the afternoon. I do suggest u to go visit this place, its near the train station, so easy to get there. The bowls are so fast and smooth. You will be amazed! Bring a tent, I say. Ohh yeah, the park only opens at 8, but u can always climb, it worth going earlier, since its very popular daytime… I had met some long boarders just before I left. Thanx for helping me with the pics.
Same day, 6 o`clock session, Prague. Made it.
This park in Strasnise has so much to offer. First of all the biggest playground I hv ever been. After I had explored everything here, went to the other one, the actual skatepark, and played around there too. The child in me was so overjoyed.
Met some old school skaters, we were hanging out all night in the park. They made me drink some popular chez specialties like hot rum with lemon, hot wine with cinnamon, green liquor. Having said its gud for my flue, I was happy to experiment, however the expression on my face was telling opposite.
More long boarders I met, among a designer who does it strightly for fun. So tested his board, quite liked it, so did my suitcase! Mattias offered me a place to sleep, and was eagerly carrying my case all the way. I was introduced to the chez rollerblading scene. We were watching those videos they made 10-15 years ago. Thanks for sharing.
Next day, 6 in the morning again, up on my feet, ready for the next one.
